Minimum Contractor Qualification Requirements
City of Memphis Lead Paint Program

 

• Must have State of Tennessee General Contractors License with a minimum limit of $100,000.
• Must have current Shelby County Business License
• Must have current State of Tennessee Lead Firm Certification
  - With at Least 1 Lead Supervisor and 3 lead workers
• Must have EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Firm Certification
• Must meet City of Memphis/Risk Management – Insurance requirements
• Must have proof of Certification through City of Memphis’ Office of Contract Compliance & Purchasing Departments
• Must provide at least 3 Business References within the last year and at least 3 Vendor References
• List of residential rehabilitation projects completed within the last year and describe type of rehabilitation.
• Must provide Financial Statement
• Must not be currently Debarred by any Governmental Entity
• Must not have received more than 2 poor Contractor Evaluations(HCD)

NOTE: Contractor must submit proof of all required documentation with application. All licenses must be current and in good standing.
